Rose Forgrove Integra - Resealable Packs

Rose Forgrove’s established Integra PC Flowpak™ horizontal form/fill/seal flow wrapper has been adapted for many packaging applications over the years. Previously used for gas flushing food products to extend product shelf life and high integrity sealing of medical and pharmaceutical products, the Integra is now fully equipped and readily available for the production of resealable packs. It is the latter which offers easy open, resealable packs for wet wipes and a multitude of other product types.

Using a combination of good quality laminate materials and self-adhesive labels, packs can be formed/ filled/sealed and enhanced with a resealable label applied over a perforated panel on top of the pack. Thus, products can be readily accessed by removing an easy-peel, resealable label which, on first opening, tears a perforated panel from the pack but can subsequently be reclosed and sealed to preserve product freshness. As well as the traditional use for wet wipes, the pack style is also offered for food products such as cooked meats, cheeses and biscuits.

The system needed to produce the resealable pack style can be supplied either as an integral part of new Integra PC Flowpak™ flow wrappers or as a fully integrated retrofit to existing Integra PC machines.

The main benefit over other machines of this type is that Rose Forgrove’s resealable pack system is a fully integrated part of the machine’s control system. The system includes a labeller, a fully integrated drive axis for the rotary cutter and a micrometer adjustment facility which ensures precise placement of the perforated cut on the pack. Accurate electronic positioning and application of the label is achieved using the Integra’s PC control and state-of-the-art drive package.

Rose Forgrove believe that their advanced technology coupled with the Integra’s hygienic and accessible design offers one of the best solutions for resealable packs in the market.
